Even with all that has been going on, I managed to finish the first part of the novel (editing); unfortunately, critiques on Litopia and in Creative Writing (we’ll just say CW) suggested that the opening wasn’t quite right. Back to the drawing boards.
I know it’s dangerous to pour my heart this much into anything, but I cannot help it. I love this series so much and want to see it succeeding.
Albert emailed me today (maybe yesterday) and asked if he could take a look at the current draft. As soon as I get the new opening completed, I am going to send it his way. I don’t care who wants the job; I need as much feedback as possible. Albert is a writer too, so I see him to be fitting to the task.
I got accepted by WCP, but decided not to sign with them. They are primarily e-book publishers, and I think I prefer the old-fashioned physical book. I also got declined by two or three agents. But that doesn’t mean I can’t keep trying!
